Who is responsible

Tech Steps LLC, based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, operates this website and is responsible for the personal data described here. You can reach us at [email protected] or +971 50 397 5374.

What this site collects

This is a static website. It has no user accounts, no shopping cart, no comment system and no advertising network embedded in it.

Personal data reaches us in exactly two ways.

Information you send us

If you submit the project intake form, or email or call us, we receive what you chose to send: typically your name, email address, company, optionally a phone number and a description of your project or problem.

We use that solely to respond to your enquiry and, if we work together, to deliver the work. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list because you contacted us.

Technical information from your visit

Our hosting provider logs standard request information such as IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp. This is ordinary web server operation and is used for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets no cookies of its own. It uses Google Analytics. Whether you are asked first depends on where you are browsing from.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, where the law requires consent before analytics cookies are set, you are asked on your first visit, and nothing from Google loads unless you accept. The same applies in Gibraltar, Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man and the EU's outermost regions. If we cannot tell where you are, or you are browsing through Tor, we ask.

Everywhere else, Google Analytics loads without asking, unless your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, which we treat as a refusal.

Your location comes from Cloudflare, which already carries every request to this site. We use it only to make this decision and do not store it. If you decline, nothing from Google is loaded, no analytics cookies are set, and no data about your visit is sent anywhere. Declining is not a degraded experience: the site behaves identically either way. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie, so declining stores nothing that travels with a request.

When Google Analytics runs, it sets cookies (typically _ga and a property-specific _ga_*) and sends page and event data to Google, acting as our processor. We use it to see which pages are useful. IP anonymisation is enabled, and advertising, remarketing and personalisation signals are switched off.

We record page views and a small set of named interactions, such as which call to action was clicked. Nothing you type into the contact form is ever sent to an analytics provider. No submitted value is placed in a URL or an event parameter.

Wherever you are, you can accept or decline at any time using the analytics choice link in the footer, and that choice overrides the location rule.

Retention

Enquiry correspondence is kept while it is commercially relevant and then deleted. Where we have an ongoing client relationship, project records are kept for as long as the engagement and any legal or accounting obligation requires.

Server logs are retained for a short operational period and then rotated out.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email [email protected] and we will respond. If you ask us to delete your enquiry, we will, unless we are required to retain it for a legal or accounting reason, in which case we will tell you which.

External destinations

This site links to properties we operate at secai.techsteps.ae and stackattest.com, and to third-party sources cited in our articles. Once you follow a link away from techsteps.ae, the privacy policy of that destination applies rather than this one.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. We keep third-party JavaScript to a minimum, which is a privacy decision as much as a performance one. No credentials or secrets are present in anything this site sends to your browser.

Changes

If this notice changes materially, we will update the date above. This version is dated 16 September 2026.
